Route 7 is a north-south route connecting Povidence with points north. The northern terminus of Route 7 is a hanging end. The reason for that is so Route 7 ends at the same point where state maintainance on the road ends. Route 7 runs 15.1 miles in Rhode Island.

Providence - 2.3 miles: RI-246 to North Providence Line
Orms Street and Douglas Avenue

North Providence - 1.5 miles: Providence Line to Smithfield Line
Douglas Avenue

Smithfield - 6.0 miles: North Providence Line to North Smithfield Line
Douglas Pike

North Smithfield - 3.0 miles: Smithfield Line to Burrilville Line
Douglas Pike

Burrillville - 2.3 miles: North Smithfield Line to Joslin Road
Douglas Turnpike, Victory Highway and Douglas Turnpike
